Saudi FM: King Salman Keen on GCC Unity

Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah underscored on Saturday the keenness of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz on the unity and cohesion of the Gulf Cooperation Council. In a virtual address to the IISS Manama Dialogue, he stressed the Kingdom’s commitment to bolstering the GCC, noting the progress in resolving the Gulf dispute with Qatar. Saudi Arabia is hoping for a “satisfying” conclusion for all sides in the rift, he added. Moreover, he stressed that the establishment of an independent Palestinian state was the only way to normalize relations with Israel. The priority now lies in resuming Palestinian-Israeli negotiations, urged Prince Faisal.
