The General Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces warned that any cyberattack that targets its infrastructure, especially military establishments, will be considered a "use of force and an armed intervention." The General Staff vowed to give a "powerful" response in case those cyber attacks "affect the vital national infrastructure, including defensive infrastructure - whether owned by the public or private sector,” according to a statement. “Iran reserves the right to take the appropriate and proportional reciprocal action at the appropriate time," it added. Iran’s Natanz nuclear enrichment facility was one of several vital sites that were targeted and damaged. This occurred only one week after a mysterious explosion at an establishment for producing fuel of ballistic missiles in Khojir, in the east of Tehran. However, the Iranian authorities said that it resulted from a blast of a tank in Parchin – 24 kilometers away from the site. A cyberattack was a possible cause of Natanz facility explosion, which rose questions on the security condition in Iran. Notably, Iran and Israel have been exchanging accusations during the past months over mutual cyberattacks.
