Gulf States Register More COVID-19 Cases

The Omani Ministry of Health reported Sunday 175 new coronavirus cases in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of confirmed infections in the Sultanate to 3,399. In a press statement, the ministry said the cases belonged to 52 nationals, while the rest were non-Omani residents. According to the ministry, 92 people have recovered, raising the total recoveries from the virus to 1,117. It further called on citizens to abide by the self-isolation measures and to only go out for necessary trips. As for Kuwait, it reported 1,065 infections, bringing the total to 8,688. The Health Ministry announced that 107 additional patients have recovered, raising the country's total recoveries to 2,729. The UAE's Ministry of Health and Prevention reported 781 new COVID-19 cases from various nationalities, bringing the total number of infections to 18,198. In a statement, the Ministry also announced the death of 13 patients, bringing the total number of deaths to 198. The Ministry said 509 people infected with the virus have fully recovered.
