Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz stressed on Saturday that Saudi Arabia will not spare an effort in serving humanity, especially amid the coronavirus pandemic. In address to the nation and Muslims on the advent of the Eid al-Fitr holiday, he said the Kingdom has, in line with its religious, humanitarian and national values, exerted all efforts to combat the pandemic. It has sought to ease its impact and offered generous support to the World Health Organization as it confronts the crisis, he added. Saudi Arabia has also contributed to local and international efforts to find a vaccine for the virus or a drug that would help rid mankind of this unprecedented outbreak, stated King Salman. He expressed his great appreciation for Saudis and residents for spending the holiday at home, responsibly adhering to social distancing and preventive measures. He also hailed health and field teams in all sectors that have strongly, firmly and dutifully combated the outbreak. King Salman later received a telephone call from Emir of Kuwait Sheikh Sabah al-Ahmed al-Jaber al-Sabah to congratulate him on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr.
