KSRELIEF Provides Health Services to, Approximately, 16 Million Yemenis

Riyadh-Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz al-Rabiah, advisor to the Royal Court and supervisor-general of the King Salman Humanitarian Aid & Relief Center (KSRELIEF), issued on Friday the special report on health and humanitarian services provided by Saudi Arabia to Yemeni families and the injured.


The event saw the participation of Yemeni Minister of Local Administration and Chairman of Supreme Committee for Relief Abdulraqeeb Fatih and Yemen’s Minister of Public Health and Population Dr. Nasir Baoum.


Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz al-Rabiah revealed in his speech that the newly established center (around one year ago) launched more than 80 humanitarian and relief projects with costs exceeding USD46 million and with participation of 70 partners.


Al-Rabiah said that Saudi Arabia is committed to offering humanitarian aid in tandem with religious instructions and guidelines of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.


He, also, highlighted that Saudi Arabia is a country of peace and giving and that it supports the Yemeni nation without discrimination. “Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud guidelines underline that the center shall perform its operations in an unbiased way, regardless of any other considerations, and abide by international rules and humanitarian concepts,” added Al-Rabiah.


Up to 3,000 injured who were in critical conditions were treated in Saudi, Jordanian and Sudanese hospitals.


In addition, Fatih said that KSRELIEF is a relief institution that follows international standards. As Fatih mentioned that cities still witness systemized murders, especially Taiz, he stressed that dialogue is the only way out of this crisis, pointing out that there are 21 million Yemenis who need urgent relief, 14 million need healthcare.


Besides, Dr. Nasir Baoum declared that the first airplane dedicated for cardiovascular disease patients was presented by KSRELIEF and arrived at Sana’a during the war.
