After France and Belgium, Terrorism Hits Germany

Cologne (Germany)-Bavarian Interior Minister Joachim Herrmann said that a video found on the laptop of the Syrian suicide bomber in Ansbach revealed his connection to ISIS terrorist group. “Motives of the suicide attack, which injured 15 people on Saturday, are now clear”, said the minister.

Bavaria, one of the strictest states in regards to terrorism and asylum laws, witnessed four bloody operations in few days. While sources from the German Ministry of Interior and Bavarian Ministry of Interior spoke about absence of evidence to relation between the bomber and ISIS, the group claimed responsibility for the operation as reported Amak Agency.

Bavarian Minister of Interior did not rule out the probability of an expanded suicide in which the executor aims at killing the highest number of people. The police calls suicide operations that have the purpose of taking revenge from the self and the society as expanded suicide.

The Syrian refugee who is in asylum and living in Germany for humanitarian reasons due to the war in Syria tried to enter a music festival in Ansbach at 10:00 p.m. but was prevented by the organizers for not having a ticket. He then blew himself up at 10:10 p.m. through a bomb he had in a backpack.

The explosion killed him on the spot and injured 12 others, three of them are in a critical condition.

Federal Minister of the Interior Dr. Thomas de Maizière stated in a press conference held in Berlin that none of the four violence incidents in Bavaria should have happened. He said that he totally understands the concerns of the citizens. “We are doing our best to prevent such accidents from happening again but this can’t be guaranteed”, de Maizière added.

De Maizière called for tackling the situation in a rational way as rationalism is the basic value in such circumstances.
