Kuwait detains 18 suspected of financing Lebanon's Hezbollah.

Kuwait’s prosecution on Thursday detained 18 individuals suspected of financing Lebanon’s Iran-backed Hezbollah group, according to Kuwaiti newspapers Al-Qabas and Al-Rai. They said the prosecution ordered the detainees to be held at the central prison for 21 days. The accused have been placed in the country’s central prison pending investigation, al-Qabas said, citing a source familiar with the matter. The source added that “the prosecution is still investigating the case, and is expected to refer it to the criminal court soon.” Earlier this month, Kuwaiti security authorities arrested a group accused of working and collaborating with Hezbollah and forming a cell in the country. Since May 2018, Kuwait has designated as terrorist Hezbollah’s military wing and ten of its prominent leaders.
