During the Hajj season this year, Saudi female guards contributed to enhancing security in the Grand Mosque and the holy sites and imposing safety measures in the pilgrims’ camps and facilities. The women participants achieved a distinguished presence through their contribution to security supervision work during the Hajj season and the provision of community service in various fields. Female guards perform a number of security tasks in the Grand Mosque, including organizing and following up on the implementation of precautionary measures and security monitoring within the women’s dedicated areas at the site. Saudi women’s participation was remarkable during this year's Hajj season in many sectors within the Ministry of Interior, including civil defense, passports, and public security, where female personnel contributed to the organization, inspection, control, field follow-up, translation, receiving communications and other duties. The Saudi government has increased its support for women’s presence in various fields, and encouraged their presence in the security corps to become partners in the Kingdom’s transformation, in line with Vision 2030, which stresses women’s vital role as an important component of Saudi Arabia’s strength.
