Palestinian Prime Minister Mohammed Shtayyeh condemned on Thursday what he described as “organized settler terrorism” against the the Palestinian people and property across the West Bank. Shtayyeh denounced Israeli violence after groups of settlers committed a string of attacks across the West Bank, including hurling Molotov cocktails toward two houses in Burin village, south of Nablus city. The settlers also attacked a vehicle near the entrance of the same village and injured a three-year-old child, leaving wounds in his face. Other settlers attacked Palestinian vehicles at several areas and roads in the northern West Bank. The PM stressed that these attacks are taking place under the watch of the Israeli occupation forces. Shtayyeh further called on the new US administration to unequivocally condemn and immediately halt these attacks. He called for urgent actions to rein in Israeli colonial settlement construction and implement the United Nations Security Council Resolution 2334. Shtayyeh also called on the United Nations to provide protection to the Palestinian people, and include settlers involved in such terrorist attacks on international travel ban lists.
