Saudi King, British FM Discuss Bilateral Ties

The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, met in Riyadh on Thursday with visiting British Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab, the Saudi Press Agency reported. During the meeting, they reviewed bilateral relations between the two countries, ways of enhancing them, and the latest regional and international issues of common concern, SPA said. The audience was attended by Prince Khalid bin Bandar bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, Saudi Ambassador to the United Kingdom; Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Interior; Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, Minister of Foreign Affairs; Dr. Musaed bin Mohammed Al-Aiban, Minister of State, Member of the Cabinet and National Security Adviser; Ambassador of the UK to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Neil Crompton, and a number of officials. Ahead of his first official visit to Riyadh on Wednesday, Raab said: “Saudi Arabia is one of our closest trade partners and plays an important role in keeping Britain safe.” “As a valued partner, we have to work closely together to tackle the crisis in Yemen, terrorism and climate change,” he added in a statement released by the British foreign ministry.
