Saudi Deputy Defense Minister Meets Pakistan PM

Saudi Deputy Defense Minister Prince Khalid bin Salman meets with the Prime Minister of Pakistan in Islamabad. (SPA)

Saudi Deputy Defense Minister Prince Khalid bin Salman held talks in Islamabad on Monday with Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan. Discussions focused on the “brotherly and historic” relations between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan. They tackled regional and international developments, issues of common interest and means of bolstering bilateral cooperation, especially in the defense and security fields. Prince Khalid later met with Commander of the Pakistani army, General Qamar Javed Bajwa. They underscored the importance of boosting the current military cooperation between their two countries, ways of enhancing and developing it at all levels and the efforts exerted to establish security and stability in the region. Prince Khalid had arrived in Pakistan earlier on Monday where he was received at Noor Khan base by Saudi Chief of General Staff Gen. Fayyad Alruwaili and senior Pakistani generals, the Saudi ambassador to Pakistan and a number of civil and military officials.
