Kuwait Announces New Coronavirus Case

Kuwait has confirmed a new case of coronavirus infection, bringing the total number of people diagnosed with the disease in the country to 46, a health ministry official said on Sunday. The majority of the cases, including the one identified in the past 24 hours, are either people who had travelled to Iran or been in contact with people who were there, the official said, Reuters reported. All those infected with the virus are kept in quarantine and are in good health receiving necessary treatment, Kuwait News Agency quoted the ministry as confirming. The viral outbreak that began in China infected more than 86,000 people globally and killed over 2,900 people. The World Health Organization has named the illness COVID-19, referring to its origin late last year and the coronavirus that causes it.
