Yemeni Prime Minister Maeen Abdulmalik has said that both Yemen and Saudi Arabia wanted to move forward in completing the implementation of the Riyadh Agreement. Abdulmalik indicated on Wednesday that this will help unify national fronts against the Iran-backed Houthi militia's coup and restore the state. In a telephone call with Abyan Governor General Abu Bakr Hussein, Abdulmalik stressed that any unilateral measures undermining the agreement are unacceptable, according to Saba News. He added that Yemeni President Abdrabbuh Mansur Hadi gave clear directives during their recent meeting concerning a number of military, economic and service-related measures. The meeting also agreed on devising plans to implement those measures. Abdulmalik confirmed the government's full support to the leadership of the local authority in Abyan to carry out its responsibilities in these exceptional circumstances. Saba News stated that Hussein lauded the coordination between the government and the local authority to face different challenges and improving people's living conditions.
