Saudi Arabia Extends Visas of Expats Stranded in Countries Facing Travel Ban Until Aug. 31

The General Directorate of Passports said the extension of the validity of visas will take place in cooperation with the National Information Center - SPA

Upon the directives of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz, the General Directorate of Passports has started extending the validity of residency permits and exit and re-entry visas of expatriates, who are outside the Kingdom, as well as the validity of visit visas automatically without fees until Aug. 31. The extension is applicable to expatriates and foreigners from countries facing entry ban restrictions to the Kingdom due to the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic. The Saudi Minister of Finance announced this decision as part of the Saudi government efforts in tackling the impact of COVID-19. It is also comes as part of a number of preventive measures taken to guarantee the safety of citizens and residents and contribute to mitigating the pandemic's economic and financial effects. The General Directorate of Passports said the extension of the validity of visas will take place in cooperation with the National Information Center without the need to visit any of the Directorate's offices in this regard, noting that extension will take place automatically.
