GCC Slams Houthis for Renewed Attack on Saudi Arabia’s Abha Airport

Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Secretary-General Dr. Nayef al-Hajraf condemned on Saturday the Iran-backed terrorist Houthi militias in Yemen for their continued attempts at carrying out terrorist attacks against civilian locations in Saudi Arabia. The latest such attack was the renewed attempt to target the Abha international airport with an armed drone on Saturday. Hajraf stressed that such attacks are a flagrant violation of international laws and norms, condemning the Houthis and those providing them with weapons and funds. He hailed the vigilance of the Saudi-led Arab coalition, which intercepted the drone. The GCC stands by Saudi Arabia and all the measures it takes to preserve its security and stability and safety of its citizens and residents, he stated.
