Saudi Arabia Launches $800 Mn Worth Development Projects in Yanbu

Prince Faisal bin Salman, Governor of Medina, launched on Thursday a package of development and service projects in the Yanbu governorate worth more than 3 billion riyals (USD 800 million). Prince Faisal bin Salman underlined the importance of achieving coordinated work between the various government sectors and strengthening partnerships with the private sector to complete the development projects in the Madinah region according to the approved timelines, and to ensure the achievement of the expansion goals. The projects included an outpatient building at Yanbu General Hospital, two health centers in Al-Sumairi and Al-Bandar neighborhoods, the inauguration of the Ibn Rushd educational complex with a capacity of 900 students, and the Abdul Rahman bin Auf educational complex with a capacity of 720 students. The governor of the region also inaugurated a number of projects in the commercial port of Yanbu, including the implementation of the first phase of developing the passengers terminal, the construction of a security fence, and a road to connect the passengers terminal with King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Road and laid the foundation stone of a security system project in the port. Other projects launched by the governor include developments of the electrical power distribution stations for the petrochemical industries expansion area, in addition to logistics and residential areas for the Royal Commission of Yanbu.
