UAE Announces 1,590 New Virus Cases

The UAE’s Ministry of Health and Prevention announced Sunday 1,590 new coronavirus cases, bringing the country’s total number of infections to 213,231. The Ministry said it conducted 125,232 additional COVID-19 tests over the past 24 hours, using state-of-the-art medical testing equipment. In a statement, the Ministry held onto its objective to continue expanding the scope of nationwide testing to facilitate the early detection of coronavirus cases. It also announced five deaths due to COVID-19 complications, bringing the total number of fatalities in the country to 679. The Ministry noted that an additional 1,609 individuals had fully recovered from the disease, increasing the recoveries to 189,709.
