Asharq Al-Awsat Wins 2nd Place at The Saudi Summer Award for Media Excellence

The Saudi Tourism Authority announced the names of the winners of the "Saudi Summer Award for Media Excellence", which it launched in late June to motivate media professionals and creative individuals to participate in highlighting tourist destinations and sites in Saudi Arabia. 10 journalists and content creators, who participated in five different fields, won awards that amount to SR250,000 in total. Asharq Al-Awsat won second place in the field of press reports for a report that had been prepared by Saleh al-Zeid in July about tourism in Jazan, which he describes as an area that is distinguished from other Saudi sites by its cultural and geographic diversity. The first award in the same field went to Abdul Karim Al-Dhiabi - Okaz Newspaper. Meanwhile, in the field of TV reporting, Abdul Rahman Al-Usaimi from Al-Arabiya channel won the first place. Whereas, the second place award of the same field went to ‪Abdulrahman Al-Zahrani from MBC.
