Jordan: 44 New Coronavirus Cases Among Returnees from Syria

Jordan recorded 46 new infections with the coronavirus on Tuesday, 44 of whom were for Jordanians who have recently returned from Syria, announced Health Minister Saad Jaber. The Minister indicated that all cases remained in quarantine at Dead Sea hotels. With regard to testing, the minister said the number of tests conducted since the outbreak of the pandemic in March has reached 527,094. The total number of coronavirus infections has risen to 1,113 since the first infection was detected in the country in early March, at a time when 1,034 patients recovered and 11 died, while 86 active cases remain in hospitals and quarantine centers.
