Pompeo, UAE Crown Prince Discuss Libya Ceasefire

US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo has held a phone conversation with UAE’s Crown Prince Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the State Department said. “The Secretary and the Crown Prince discussed regional and bilateral issues of concern, including agreeing on the need for a ceasefire in Libya and return to UN-led political negotiations,” it said in a statement on Thursday. Pompeo also thanked the Crown Prince for his strong partnership with the US in combatting the global coronavirus pandemic, the State Department added.
