Oman Reports 6 New Virus Deaths, 604 Infections

Oman registered on Monday six new fatalities from the novel coronavirus, raising its toll to 81. The health ministry said 604 infections have been reported, taking the total to 17,486. The new cases include 344 Omanis, it revealed, while the Sultanate’s recoveries have reached 3,793. The ministry urged people to stay at home and only leave when necessary in order to curb the outbreak. Meanwhile, Minister of Transport and Communication Ahmed bin Mohamed al-Fatisi revealed a plan aimed at resuming international flights from the country. The Oman news agency reported that the plan includes efforts to revive the aviation sector and maintain its operation in line with the national aviation strategy that is part of the vision to diversify Oman’s economy.
