Yemeni President Abd Rabbu Mansour Hadi renewed his call on the Yemeni people to stand with the project of the federal state, which he said would promote diversity, good governance, a fair distribution of wealth and power and a just representation of all people. In a speech reported by the Yemeni official news agency, Hadi addressed the Yemeni people on the occasion of the 57th anniversary of the September 26 revolution, saying: “Our project is clearly defined and firm. It is the project of national consensus chosen by the Yemeni people in all its components at the Dialogue Conference, based on the sovereignty, independence and freedom of the State and the values of justice, freedom and equal citizenship.” “The battle for state-building will not stop,” the Yemeni president emphasized, stressing continued “struggle for freedom, democracy, equal citizenship, the equitable distribution of wealth and power, the achievement of good governance, and the consolidation of the federal state as decided by the outcomes of the National Dialogue Conference.” Hadi also said: “We have made every effort to work for peace and our white hands are still extended to all who want a genuine peace based on the sovereignty of the people and respect for their choices, not on the reality imposed by the power of oppression, exploitation and chaos.” In this regard, the Yemeni president expressed full support for the UN Special Envoy to Yemen, Martin Griffiths and highly valued “all peace efforts of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia under the wise leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz.”
