OIC, Arab Parliament Reject European Parliament's Resolution on Bahrain

The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) has expressed its rejection of the European Parliament's decision on the human rights situation in Bahrain, saying it was based on inaccurate information that offends the Kingdom. The OIC praised Bahrain's commitment to the principles of human rights and international standards, and the protection of the rights and freedoms of citizens and residents on its territories. It also renewed its support for and solidarity with Bahrain. The Arab Parliament also expressed its total rejection of the European Parliament resolution on Bahrain, stressing that it has no connection with reality. In a statement, the Arab Parliament affirmed its full support for Bahrain in all the measures it takes to respond to this prejudiced statement that serves the political goals of some external parties. It also noted that Bahrain is fully committed to the principles of human rights and international standards.
