Macron Meets Majida El Roumi at End of Beirut Visit

French President Emmanuel Macron kicked off his two-day visit to Beirut this week with the historical meeting that brought him together with Fairouz and finished it off with face-to-face talks with Majida El Roumi. She tweeted the news and photos of her meeting with the French President at his request. Macron expressed hope for a vision of cultural collaboration between Lebanon and France. The singer assured him that her voice is at the service of her country and efforts to alleviate its suffering mainly after the devastating Aug. 4 Beirut Port explosion. She also thanked him for everything he has done and does to help Lebanon, referring to his visit to Fairouz.
