The State of Qatar condemned and denounced the vicious attack, which recently targeted Najran region in Saudi Arabia on Thursday. The assault featured a missile deployed from Yemeni lands, and had resulted in the death of seven civilians and several injuries.
Qatar slammed the continuous violations imposed on the kingdom’s borders and territory. All attacks are deemed to subvert Saudi security and terrorize the innocent, Qatar’s Foreign Ministry said in a statement on Thursday.
The gulf state expressed solidarity towards Saudi Arabia, and fully backs all measures taken to maintain the kingdom’s security and stability.
Moreover, the statement voiced sincere condolences to the Saudi government, the brotherly people of Saudi Arabia and to the families of the victims.
The Saudi-led Arab coalition intervened in Yemen on behalf of the United Nations-backed government of President Abdu Rabbu Mansour Hadi, after Houthi militias attempted to take control over the country.
The 17-month war has resulted in more than 6,500 deaths, including many civilians killed.
